NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a regular election will be held on the 8th day of May 2012, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. At that time two (2) directors will be elected to serve 4-year terms and one (1) director will be elected to serve a 2-year term. Eligible electors of the District interested in serving on the board of directors may obtain a self-nomination and acceptance form from David B. Peak, DEO, c/o CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, 8390 E. Crescent Pkwy., Suite 500, Greenwood Village, CO 80111, telephone number 303-779-4525, david.peak@cliftonlarsonallen.com. The DEO office is open on the following days: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
If the DEO determines that a Self-Nomination and Acceptance form is not sufficient, the eligible elector who submitted the form may amend the form once, at any time, prior to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012. The deadline to submit a Self-Nomination and Acceptance Form to the DEO is close of business on Friday, March 2, 2012 (not less than 67 days before the election). Earlier submittal is encouraged as the deadline will not permit curing an insufficient form. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that applications for mail-in ballots may be filed with the designated election official at the address and telephone number listed above between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. until the close of business on Friday, May 4, 2012. If the applicant wishes to receive the mail-in ballot by mail, the application shall be filed no later than Tuesday, May 1, 2012. The application for a mail-in ballot shall be made in writing, by fax or by e-mail, using the application form furnished by the designated election official, or on the form provided by the Colorado Secretary of State or in the form of a letter which includes the applicant's printed name, signature, residence address, mailing address if the applicant wishes to receive the mail-in ballot by mail, and date of birth.
